Diablo 3 Season 39 Ends Today: Season 40 Starts Oct. 2

Diablo 3 Season 39 is coming to an end today, September 27, 2026, marking the end of another Seasonal Journey in Sanctuary. For players who have spent the past few months leveling characters, collecting Legendary items, completing Greater Rifts and chasing Seasonal rewards, the transition is an important moment.

Blizzard has confirmed that Season 39 ends on September 27 at 5:00 PM PDT. The next season, Season 40: Light’s Calling, begins on October 2 at 5:00 PM PDT/CEST/KST.

For players in India, the listed 5:00 PM PDT timing converts to the early morning of the following day. Season 39's listed end time falls on September 28 at 5:30 AM IST, while Season 40's listed start time falls on October 3 at 5:30 AM IST. The gap gives players some time to prepare, finish anything they still want to accomplish and decide which class they want to take into the next Seasonal Journey.
