Pokémon GO Halloween 2026: Rewards, Event, and Checklist
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 offers players two event phases, new costumed Pokémon, seasonal encounters & a limited-time GO Pass with rewards. In the first phase, players will be able to capture Pikachu adorned in a hat and capelet, Zubat sporting a top hat, and Sinistea sporting a bow. The end of the phase allows for the introduction of Shiny Greavard to Pokémon GO and adds a new Mega progression checkpoint for Mega Sableye.
Halloween in GO begins on 27 October 2026 and lasts until 5 November, but rewards don’t all have the same deadline: the GO Pass runs through 5 November for progression, while already-unlocked GO Pass rewards can be claimed up to 7 November.
To make the most of the event, know which Poke you need to collect, what benefits matter to you, and how much time would you spend progressing through the GO Pass. This guide will cover the confirmed event schedule, new Pokémon, Free and Paid Rewards as well as a handy checklist to keep track of key opportunities.
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Event Dates
Halloween 2026 is split into two parts, both occurring in your local time zone.
Halloween Part I is scheduled to open on October 27 at 10:00 a.m. local time and will close on November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Part II will follow. It runs from 10:00 a.m. on November 1 to 8:00 p.m. on November 5, local time.
The Halloween GO Pass opens on October 27 at 10:00 a.m. and close to progression on November 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can claim all rewards they have already unlocked until 8:00 p.m. local time on November 7.
This is why these are separate dates. These aren’t the same thing: finishing an event activity and claiming a reward. If you stash everything recall it on the last night, you could miss out on unlocking more GO Pass ranks or forget to claim rewards you have earned.
According to the official announcement, the local-time schedule for players in India in Indian Standard Time. Wait until the in-game event information before hitting the dates as Niantic informs of any changes.
Halloween Part I: Three New Costumed Pokémon
The opening portion of Part I is concerned with the spooky season and its related rhythm of events and a trio of costumed Pokémon going through a transition to featuring in Pokémon GO.
New versions featuring part 1 of the park are Pikachu with a hat and capelet, Zubat with a top hat, and Sinistea with a bow
According to an initial statement, there is also a Shiny of each featured Pokémon among the characters you might see if you are lucky. However, you don’t necessarily get a Shiny shows up when you cheer yourself up by doing all the suitable things you can do.
How can you search for the new costumes
Wild encounters are one of the ways to find event-themed Pokémon. Part I will also bring some mysterious Halloween-related appearances, such as Duskull, Piplup in a Halloween Mischief outfit, and Drifblim in a Halloween Mischief outfit. Since each trainer may be assigned a different set of Pokemon, check out the current wild encounter pool for myself instead of assuming every species shown here will pop up nearby.
Even more way to find two of those new costumes in one-star raids. Pikachu with a hat and capelet and Sinistea and bow are slated to be found in those raids. This opens more opportunities to meet these two types of trainers beside in-wild spawns.
Event-themed Field Research is another possibility worth exploring. Certain PokéStops organize research tasks that will bring to light a specific Pokémon. If you are not finishing a task, stop to read the rewards and determine whether you need it to reach a collection goal. Thoroughly completing every task is far less useful when you are pressed for time.
Part I will also have trick-or-treat encounters provided by unplayful Pokémon in the wild. Tapping these treats could give the player certain event-themed encounters, Pikachu Candy, Zubat Candy, Sinistea Candy, or if you get lucky, Rare Candy while searching for the collectible. Practically speaking, it’s best for collectors to combine wild encounters, raids and relevant Field Research. You can stop short of going to every game once you figure that they are not all equally significant, though perhaps because no all but the ones capable of deliver the Pokémon you need.
Halloween Part II: The Debut of Shiny Greavard
Part II kicks off (starts) 1 November and also creates a major collection opportunity in a twist: Shiny Greavard is making its Pokémon GO debut.
You could tackle this phase in the wild or with GO Pass and Field Research encounters. Not promised a Shiny encounter, remember, so approach the announcement as a hunting opportunity not a reward that automatically locks.
If Shiny Greavard is the pinnacle of everything training, reserve a portion of the event time to Part II. If you commit the entire opening phase to your costumed Pokémon search, you will have some less time to spare for the sneakily new Shiny Test Debut Phase. Great foresight helps you keep the two objectives on your radar without coming from the last ask of the day.
Try the wild in the easiest place to score. As you walk by a Greavard, take the time to poke it, it may well be there for the taking however many you encounter during research encounter. Fields Research, and GO Pass tasks can also grant you other chances, with specific quest & rewards available deciding which ones you get.
But keep expectations realistic – While encountering more eligible pokémon can increase the chances of you getting a Shiny it is not a guarantee. Beware of unreliable claims of this on booths of unofficial Shiny odds set without documented proof backing those numbers
Other event-themed Pokémon also appear in Part II. There’s Litwick, Rowlet in a Pokémon Halloween outfit, particularly as Gengar in the Spooky Festival outfit.
Mega Sableye Advances to Super Max Level
Part II also allows Mega Sableye to save a new feature: advancing the Mega Level to Super Max
Not all Sableye will receive the upgrade automatically. Trainers must raise its Mega Level to the third Mega progress level, called Max, before further progress with Mega Energy.
If you want to evolve Mega Sableye, examine the existing Pokémon before the event is launched. Verify the current Mega Level of each and check that you have enough Mega Energy to make this advancement. This setup ensures you only know what you need to do finalizing the event conditions to prepare.
Additional Charged Attack Night Shade+ will also be available to Mega Sableye when Mega Evolved. Their power will be 55 in Trainer Battles and 160 in the Raid Battles, with the move power rising with the Mega Sableye Mega Level.
While these details explain why this is of interest to trainers looking to level up the event Sableye already have, not every trainer should be convinced merely because an announcement has been made that Mega Sableye is the best option in a particular match. Analyzing your own collection and your goals before investing of Mega Energy is also crucial.
Pokémon GO Halloween GO Pass: What Free Players Can Expect
October 27 the Halloween Pass opens at 10:00 a.m. local time Trainers, recieve the free pass the moment it is available.
Collecting GO Points and completing Pass Tasks allow you to Progress. Reaching another rank unboxes rewards and gets closer to bonus qualifications.
In addition, the free track gives you event-themed Pokémon encounters, Candy, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls, and other rewards. These bonuses can be helpful budget-wise, especially when the plan is to catch a large number of Pokémon or if it just happens to be the featured encounters.
Two milestones are particularly noteworthy. Free pass gives double Candy for catching Pokémon at Rank 10. At Rank 20, it provides double Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Long-term idea could still motivate to other notes:
Large completed Pass open to rewards even without paid upgrade playing adequately may even be an even better way to lock in rewards as you collect them.
You don’t have to change your entire play schedule to make use of the pass. On a basic level, start by looking at what tasks are available, then identify which ones fit naturally into the way you typically play. This method will get you actively working towards your goals, and not just bossing around what has nothing to do with them.

Is GO Pass Deluxe Worth It?
GO Pass Deluxe is an optional paid upgrade for trainers who want more rewards. US price per app is $7.99, with US price for GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks $9.99. Check your local pricing and availability, probably different.
The Deluxe track adds further encounters to rare candy XL, premium battle passes, avatar items, and rewards. It also increases the catch bonuses at the relevant milestones: Rank 10 provides V-candy like three times the normal Candy you get for each Pokémon you catch, and Rank 20 provides Stardust like three times the normal St.
Go Points are enough to automatically reach rank 11 for the Deluxe + 10 Ranks option. This might help you progress farther down the pass, but you will still have to review your remaining requirements, and claim any rewards you are eligible for.
For trainers who are planning to play all the way through the Halloween Season and they want all these items, this upgrade could potentially be cost-effective if upgraded. However, for players who primarily want the new costumed Pokémon or Shiny Greavard, the free pass is still an option. Not all trainers have to buy the Deluxe pass in this event.
Bonus items have also been announced for purchases made using the go pokemon web store. The Deluxe purchase contains ultra balls, max revives, a premium battle pass, and max potions. If you buy the Deluxe + 10 Ranks bundle you’ll get something similar and a small addition of premium battle passes, and you will also receive a separate web-exclusive Ultra Box with that option.
Other Halloween Bonuses and Cosmetics
There are more seasonal details for Halloween 2026 than just a spell of Pokémon encounters and GO Pass progression.
The Lavender Town music in an unusual remake during the event is played nightly. Those who prefer the atmosphere of the game can simply turn on the game’s sound to hear the music it as they play.
A Halloween makeover is scheduled for many of the PokéStops and Gyms. These visual upgrades are just that – aesthetics used to help set the event vibe, and don’t require players to complete a task or spend money.
The in-game shop will carry some new Gothic items for your avatar. The Gothic Skirt Set, Gothic Shorts Set, Gothic Socks, and Gothic Boots will be on sale. These items are cosmetic, and per the announcement, will remain after the season is over. They won’t outbid encounters or rewards that you can only get in this short window.
Another item that you’re allowed to obtain is Halloween-style stickers. Cards have event stickers when you spin PokéStops, open Gifts, or buy them in the in-game store.
Let the cosmetics and stickers be your last priority if your top priorities are catching Pokémon. For you can always re-evaluate your priorities between time-sensitive encounters, and pass rewards.
