PUBG PGS 10: Dates, Teams and the Race for PGC Qualification

PUBG Global Series 10 (PGS 10) starts on October 14, 2026, bringing 24 teams together for the first event in this year’s final Global Series circuit. Matches continue until October 18. Beyond the title on offer, the results from PGS 10, PGS 11 and PGS 12 will shape which teams advance to the PUBG Global Championship 2026 (PGC 2026).

The qualification battle is far from settled. Virtus.pro currently tops the PGS Points table following the first nine events, but several teams around the top-eight line are separated by only a narrow margin. A total of 240 points remain across the last three events, leaving plenty of room for the standings—and teams’ starting positions at the world championship—to change.

This guide outlines the PGS 10 dates, its 24 competitors and event format, along with the most recent confirmed points table and the path to qualifying for PGC 2026.

PG  10 Format Breakdown

PGS 10 is played in a multi-stage format to weed out the 24 teams down to 16 contenders. Perform or perish, the teams have to do enough to move on, and the first round can decide whether they go straight or need to get through another round.

GROUP STAGE :14 October

All 24 are divided into three groups of eight. The Group Stage is nine games in total, each team plays six matches.

The results decide what’s next:

5.2.6 The best 16 teams go to the Winners Stage.

Bottom eight: Into Survival Stage The bottom eight teams from the Preliminary Round will be paired in four best of seven matches in the Survival Stage.

Good day one. A strong day one can send teams to the final through the Winners Stage. The top eight finishers, while they are eliminated from the main hunt, can still make their way back, but it’s not the easiest route.

Winners Stage: October 15

The 16 teams that qualified from the Group Stage play five matches.

The top eight teams qualify directly for the Final Stage and earn Advantage Points.

The bottom eight teams qualify for the Survival Stage.

Advantage Points are crucial as the overall standings are based on cumulative scoring. The teams that qualify directly can begin the Final Stage with a points advantage over the teams that have to qualify through Survival.

Survival Stage: October 16

16 teams qualify for the Survival Stage: eight from the Group Stage and eight from the Winners Stage.

Five matches later:

The top eight teams qualify for the Final Stage.

The bottom eight teams are eliminated from PGS 10.

This stage offers a second chance to teams that performed poorly earlier, but there is little room for repeated mistakes. A team that needs to bounce back from a poor Group Stage now plays against other teams under the same pressure.

Final Stage: October 17–18

Sixteen teams will play 10 matches over two days to decide the final PGS 10 standings. The eight teams coming from the Winners Stage begin with Advantage Points. Teams that qualify through Survival do not receive this boost.

This is the tournament’s make-or-break stage. Teams must weigh survival, placement and eliminations carefully rather than taking fights without regard for the overall standings.

A match with many eliminations can bring a useful points haul, but an early exit may leave a team too far behind to contend for the lead. Strong, steady performances throughout the final matches can matter more than a single standout round.

The above table only shows the important teams and the qualification cutoff rather than detailing every positions. These are the standings before the Circuit 4, not the final season results. They will be updated after PGS 10, PGS 11 and PGS 12 are done.

Virtus.pro lead Made in Thailand by 37 points, but the latter are only 1 point in front of 17Gaming. This makes the fight at the top interesting even before considering qualification: a team can already be in solid shape and still have a lot to play for.

It’s even closer to the cutoff. Falcons were in seventh with 154 points and Petrichor Road in eighth with 152. Gen.G Esports was in ninth at 145 points, just seven behind Petrichor Road.

Those margins are narrow enough that a single tournament can dramatically rearrange the order. The three remaining tournaments have plenty of points for players outside the top eight to challenge the current standings.

How PGS 10 Influences Qualification for PGC 2026

PGS 10 is one of the events that contributes to the season-long PGS Points race for PGC 2026. After PGS 12, the eight highest-ranked teams in the cumulative PGS Points standings will earn a place at the championship.

Teams can also qualify through regional competitions, which award PGC Points. Since some teams have already claimed spots through regional play, qualification for PGC 2026 is being determined through both pathways.

The 240-point total is the greatest a team could earn by sweeping all three events. It is not an estimate of what any single team’s score will be.

PGS 12’s double-points format is crucial. In other words, the final event may influence the season standings significantly more than PGS 10 or PGS 11 could, individually. A team that gets off to a good start in Circuit 4 can foreshadow their momentum, but that team can’t consider the qualification decided until the other tournaments have been held.

Why the number one finishing PGS Points position is so important

So the final PGS Points ranking decides more than is just the question of if a team makes it or not. It also dictates the stage from which that team kicks off its PGC 2026 journey.

The official announcement of qualifications states here:

First place: Directly advances to the PGC 2026 Grand Finals.

2nd: Survival Stage Day 1.

Third through eighth place: Start from the qualifying stage.

This means the battle for the summit is even more addictive in teams seemingly resigned to not making the top eight. A move up the standings can also give a better position for the start at world championships.

What Happens to Teams That Have Already Qualified Regionally?

Teams that earn a place at PGC through regional PGC Points may still enter PGS events. If they also qualify via PGS Points, their regional place can be reassigned under the tournament’s qualification rules.

This is useful context when following PGS 10. A strong result might improve a team’s seeding, give it another path to qualify, or change the odds for another team from its region. In other words, teams may be competing for different things.

The Teams and Storylines to Watch

Instead of making every group a guessing game, though, it’s more interesting to focus on the teams whose rank creates meaningful stakes.

Virtus.pro: Season Best. The leader in points among the highlighted teams enters Circuit 4 with the strongest position. Its task is to maintain that advantage and aim for an even higher PGC seed, not simply to finish in the top 8.

Made in Thailand and 17Gaming: The Circuit 3 mini-leader and attacker are separated by two points after by two points after they are the made in Tailand and 27Gaming. Its outcomes may affect both the race to place in the top PGS Points as well as the qualification matrix.

T1: With 208 points, T1 is towering over the rest of the standings. A good performance in PGS 10 could solidify that position ahead of the double-points finalé.

Team Falcons: Falcons is seven in the Pre-Circuit 4 standings, two points ahead of Petrichor Road. A good tournament would keep it safe - a bad one could make the next tournaments that much harder.

Petrichor Road and Gen.G Esports: Petrichor Road is holding on to the final top-eight spot while Gen.G is seven points behind. Gen. G also won PGS 9, so they come into this tournament with a recent tournament win, but they still need to convert that into points that count over the entire season.

These are standings-based storylines, not predictions of the end result. The meta of PUBG esports tournaments can change at any moment, and the points table before the event should not be considered the final ranking.
